FYLA offers two $1,000 scholarships to former FYLA players annually.  The scholarships will be awarded to one boy and one girl.

 

Applicants must be:

1. a graduating senior from Falmouth High School in Falmouth, Maine;

2. a participant for at least one year in the Falmouth Youth Lacrosse Association; and

3. must be enrolled in a two- or four-year degreed program in an institution of higher learning for the upcoming school year.

 

The FYLA Board of Directors will consider the following factors in selecting the scholarship award winners:

1. extent and commitment to playing and promoting lacrosse within the town of Falmouth (e.g., as a player, referee, coach's assistant or manager);

2. involvement in other high school and community activities and/or work experience;

3. moral character and sportsmanship;

4. scholastic achievement;

5. other factors deemed appropriate by the FYLA Board of Directors.
