No. This is a building program where coaches are able to work with varied skill levels.
Not at the Youth level. We try our best to make equal teams at the beginning of the season, and will occasionally move a player around to accomplish that goal if we have missed the mark.

Lacrosse equipment is an investment for sure. For boys, helmets run between $125-$250, and pads can run another $60-$100. For girls, protective eyewear starts at $40.
Lacrosse sticks start at about $50 for both.
Used equipment is a great option if things are in good condition/lightly used. Play It Again Sports in Portland or Sideline Swap online are two options for used equipment. LaxPros and Dick's Sporting Goods are some local options for new gear.

At the 3/4 level many kids are still trying things out to see which sport is a fit. We welcome your family to see if lacrosse is a good match. By 5/6, it is helpful if players are able to make most games and practices, as the level of play rises. Please indicate in your sign up the details of your situation so we can best determine how to evenly balance the teams in terms of player commitment.
